The Bemz Design Award
Through winter sensations the fresh fog appears, the colours melt one into the other to finally become cold and icy. This is the link between sky and soil that brings our fascination of the landscape that we perceive as moving lines at the horizon. The fog that gets mixed with lapping waves then freezes during the frosty season. Therefore we observe the depth of wintry colours through the bruised surface and the transparency of the hypnotic abysses.
I developed a mini print collection for the Bemz Design Award 2016, applicable to interior textiles. I focused the aesthetic on striation through pleated paraffined paper and the shibori technique, to illustrate the waves. In the process, I use colour schemes inspired by the turquoise of lakes.
